Your GoCar membership includes third party, fire, and theft cover with a standard damage excess of €2,000.
This means that if a GoCar or GoVan is damaged during your trip, you may be liable for the first €2,000 of the damage cost. The excess is payable immediately after the incident or accident.
Reducing your excess with DEW
You can reduce your excess from €2,000 to €250 by purchasing DEW (Damage Excess Waiver) cover.
Two options are available:
- 🛡️ Annual DEW cover: €200 per year
- ⏱️ Per-trip DEW cover: €1 per hour, capped at €10 per trip
How to add DEW
- The per-trip option can be added during the booking process, once you qualify.
- To add the annual DEW cover to your account, please submit a support ticket.
