When returning any Electric GoCar vehicle, please follow these guidelines to ensure the vehicle is ready for the next member.
Charging the vehicle
- π All of our electric GoCars come with a charging card or fob. This allows you to charge at any EZO, ESB or Ionity charging sites
- Vehicles MUST be left back with a minimum of 25% battery
Parking at EV charging bays
- β‘ Only park in an EV charging bay if the vehicle is plugged in and charging.
- If you are not charging, please park in the nearest legal parking space.
Leaving a vehicle parked in an EV charging bay without charging may result in the vehicle being clamped. If this happens, the member responsible will be liable for the clamp release fee plus an administration fee.
Using the charge card/fob
All our Electric vehicles have a charge card or fob, which can be found behind the keypad in the glove box. This card is used to:
- Unlock the charging point cover
- Gain access to the charging socket
- Follow the on screen instructions
- Connect the charging cable
If the charge card/fob is missing
If the charge card or fob is not in the vehicle:
- π Call the ESB support number printed on the charging point.
- They will remotely unlock the socket so you can charge the vehicle.
- Please then contact GoCar support so we can replace the charge card as soon as possible. πβ‘
