GoCar operates a "return to base" service. Please click on the "Return to GoBase" button on the map screen in the app to direct you to the correct location.
Parking During Your Trip
If you park the vehicle during your trip, you are responsible for making sure it is parked legally and, in the case of pay and display / ticketed areas, the correct amount has been paid. Always check local signage for parking rules. If you're unsure, please call us at 01 812 2868, and a team member will be happy to help.
Remember that certain areas are not legal parking spaces, including:
- Loading bays
- Bus lanes
- Single yellow lines
- Double yellow lines
- Disabled parking spaces
- Clearways
- E-car charging bays (unless the vehicle is plugged in and charging)
- Cycle lanes
If Your GoCar Is Clamped
If your GoCar is clamped due to illegal parking, the clamping charge will be passed on to you. You will also be charged a minimum call-out fee of €30 to release the vehicle.
